In keeping with the mood of the thread I'm going to have to pick up on a minor innacuracy in your post there Albert.

It's "bollocks". :D

Yes that's it, "bollocks". Thanks for the correction.

I did look up the definition of "bullocks" though and it is this:

bul·lock
1. A castrated bull; a steer.
2. A young bull.

The definition of "bollocks" on the same online dictionary was this:

bollocks - make a mess of, destroy or ruin; "I botched the dinner and we had to eat out"; "the pianist screwed up the difficult passage in the second movement"

I dont know, but maybe I could help you put it more eloquently?? ;)

Knock it off man, spelling doesn't count. I'm at work, typing fast, and expecting that no one would be so anal. I don't need your insults, your arrogance, or your pocket protector/cupcake condescending jabs. I'm done with this. Waiter, check please.....

One might say that what you did was, when confronted with fact and logic, backpeddled, minced your words, and refused to admit you were wrong, but far be it from me to say so. :D

I think you mean backpedal. :p

The etymology of the word is quite interesting, I looked it up on wikipedia and the first written record of the words useage was in John Wycliffe's bible! :D

Leviticus xxii, 24: "Al beeste, that ... kitt and taken a wey the ballokes is, ye shulen not offre to the Lord..." (any beast that is cut and taken away the bollocks, you shall not offer to the Lord).

Wow

I don't care if you "bust your ass," Big Ray.

Only a year in to this, you're still a newb ... and we have a special forum for newbs, last time I checked, so I'm afraid you're in the wrong section, son. :D

.
That's a pretty immature post - no matter if you're correct. You're sounding like a kid here, Chess. Taking the high road and letting him have his thread wouldn't be that difficult, would it?

If he's making money at it...and posting his results, he's made a lot of progress - regardless of the total amount of time he's spent in the game.

Really supportive thread here (not) all around.

Awesome post...

You barged into this thread on your high horse about comparisons..... BigRay NEVER mentioned a comparison.

NOWHERE in the initial part of this thread did he mention that the sample was intended to be a comparison of any type. How could it? A comparison by definition needs something to be compared to. I certainly never took it that way.

So if you want to argue that a sample is of no value unless it offers a direct comparison against something else, I'll take issue with that, as have others.

Otherwise, you're just ruffling your feathers.

I fiond these samples useful. Keep posting them Ray, and thanks.
And actually, dare I say it, ON topic.

From what I have researched and read about the DAV BG it is built mostly of cheap parts chips and suffers from 'motorboating' if loaded too much.

Unbelievable. "Research", who do you think you are kidding?

First, only one person ever said anything about cheap parts, and he was referring to one part in particular. And his comment really has more to do with differences in design philosophy between two designers than anything else. That same person also said that the BG-1 was well made in other respects.

Second, you are the only person I've ever read anywhere saying anything about "motorboating". You've never heard this unit or held it in your hands, and yet you are spreading rumours about it. In my opinion, your comments are essentially slanderous and are quite irresponsible. They are certainly not based on any first-hand knowledge or experience with the unit.

Your so-called "research" amounts to nothing more than a hill of beans.

Alby, he is just a troll man..he doesnt know dick, just trying to stir the pot. Like I said, it is probably Chesscock, Ford Van or some other member here being a dumbass. Look at his posts...they are all the same.

One of my favorite books too, Ray.

If you liked that, be sure and check out "A Beautiful Mind" by Sylvia Nasser. It was a good movie, but the movie had almost nothing to do with the book.
