Data Type Not Supported

I have been importing wav files into my br-1600 and now when I try it gives me "Data Type Not Supported." I am following the process and it will not take the file or will it take an aiff file. Any help is appreciated.

Have you changed anything bolded below from where the audio file originated from?

"Formats Supported by the BR-1600CD:

WAV or AIFF audio
Mono or stereo
8 or 16 bit
44.1 kHz sampling rate"
