I did a fresh install of windows today loaded all my games, vsts, and software.
When I got to reason the third disc (soundbank) I get a data error probaly due to a scratch.

I cant finish the install without these files what can I do?
I have a registerd version will Propellerhead help me?

I had this problem a few years back, which i solved by just deleting all the Reason files (Exc my composition files) and trying it again. Have a go at that, if that fails - i would contact Propellerhead Tech support. Sorry i couldn't be more help,

you might want to try copying all the files on the CD to a directory on the computer and run it fro mthere, or even mounting it as a drive, not sure how easy it would be to do that with the reason disk, but you should be able to pull it off. Lots of times reading the CD with a scratch as it is installing might not work, but it would after the copy.

Also, ues one of those CD scratch fixing things on the CD, might clear it up.

Im going try to delete and reinstall, I tried copying from disc to harddrive and it messes up at the same spot...

I know theres a temp file for failed installs had a problem with a game before and It didnt work till I deleted the folder so im going to look for that first..

if it's scratched theres an application called CDcheck that will reread bad sectors and the fudge it whih is great for scratched CDs... it will completely obliterate a damaged hard disk though :)

http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/

bear in mind last time I ran this program the recovery time was measured in days...

you werent joking the cdcheck has been running for three hours and its halfway.

Well cd check extracted the files to my harddrive took five hours now I have to find away to get it to install, Its not a bin/iso file its is a rfl file so how can I get it to read as a cd. I tried to copy and paste it into the directory but that doesnt work.

I Finaly was contacted by propellerhead and they said since im a valued customer and registered user they would replace the disc for a nominal fee....

Nominal fee my ass.........Im not going to pay them again dont I own the licence?

why don't you take the good files from the cd + the recovered files and create a new iso?
