I am an analog guy trying to come to grips with a brave new digital world. My studio is 24 trk analog. I mix to DAT. Now I want to be able to dump my DAT mixes onto CD for delivery to clients. (Advertising Jingles etc.) I know very little about computers other than sending e-mails and using the internet. What type of CD burner do I need to be able to perform this function on my computer. Do the DAT mixes need to be converted to WAV files and then loaded onto the CD? If someone could please enlighten me as to how this works and give me a ballpark price range for the CD Burner I need I would really appreciate it! My computer is an eMachine 400MHz with 32MB of SyncDRAM and a 4.3GB Hard Drive. Is it big enough and fast enough? Thanks in advance for any information!
