I have contacted Echo Audio regarding this problem but up until now they've been unable to come up with a solution.

This is a fresh install of W2K Sp4, Cubase 1.06 and Darla installed. This is a stand alone Daw with absolutely nothing running or enabled in either the bios or services that is not required by my programs. When the system boots it's only using 68mb of memory for windows alone (that's about half of a normal OS load).

If I open the Darla's software front end i.e. mixer and then open Cubase the left analog input for channels 1/2 will be muted in the Darla mixer panel. I've tried saving a dedicated mixer setting from within the Darla's mixer but this continues to happen. It also happens when I change the focus from one of the programs to the other.

Any ideas whatsoever???

Sounds like a drag. Sorry about your woes.

My wild guess is that it's W2K that's your problem. There's nothing in the software of either of those apps that makes them dodgy or bad companions. I've been using the for years -- but not that OS. I'm afraid I've heard a few W2K-related music software woes. Any chance you can scrape up the jack to go with XP?

Hope it gets sorted out.

Cheers.
