It`s really a pain in the ass to buy a program as nice as Sound Forge six and they carry an embedded program that pops up all of a sudden in the middle of a project , unannounced, and says "time to register". Damn! I`m calling this "sucker spam"....
registering is not problem, but they way they remind you sucks big time.
Cakewalk does the same thing with its packaged extras...
If you paid for it what's the issue with just registering it?
I've NEVER gotten one of those messages as I registered as soon as I installed the programs.
The REALLY nasty guys in this arena are Great Plains Software who sell a competitor to Quicken. They give you two weeks after purchase to register their crappy software (just long enough to enter all of your company data) and if still unregistered, without warning the program shuts down and wipes all of your data!
