damn this ringing!

I've just been given - no kidding - 2 guitars and a yamaha PSR-740 keyboard by a chap who lives nearby and who's got bored with them! My first project with the keyboard, as it has such great brass sounds, was to record a big band number. But I'm having a problem - I'm DI'ing the keyboard through a small mic mixer into the soundcard, and monitoring through speakers, which shouldn't give any feedback problems at all in theory. But I keep getting a slight ringing at the end of each note, especially when using trumpet settings. They definitely aren't there when they come off the keyboard! Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, check your buffers. Its some kind of latency. In cakewalk there is a button for input echo, on or off. Find something like that with whatever software you are using.

Forgot to mention in my original thread - I use ntrack. I will check buffers, thanks. Strange that it only happens on some instruments, though............
