D108 skipping

Im using
the d108 for live back tracking, and the other night it skipped a couple of times, and idea , could it be the hard drive going bad? any ideas?
It could be the Hard drive, however just in case, if there is some dust particles fast forward and rewind
the D108 to loosen up any particles
