I have a Mackie mixer that has 6 direct outs. I plan on doing recording on my computer (obviously). I want to use a Hosa 1/4 to D-sub recording snake. I have a D-sub port on my computer already, but do i need a special sound card that has the D-sub port on it?

Yeah the D-sub on the computer is not going to be wired with 6 A/D converters :o

Don't know of any soundcard with a D-sub connector, in fact a lot of the card with that many converters use breakout boxes.

Can you request a card then that has that many A/D convertors?
