Brand new set of Bosphorus Turk 13" hi-hats for sale. Recently paid $300 for them (never used them) and finances won't allow me to keep them. Lighter and more musical than any K Zildjian's I have come across. They just don't hand make them like this anymore, and they are a steal at this price. For more info on Bosphorus cymbals, please visit http://www.bosphoruscymbals.com, or call or write me with any questions.

Thank you,
John

i don't have any clips of these cymbals, but if you go to this website:
http://www.cymbalsonly.com/
... and scroll down to the bosphorus turk hi hats, and check out the clips for the:
13" Turk (Reg/Dark) 690/921 g (mine are very similar in weight and sound).

they sound very similar to a good set of old k's (which can vary greatly). they are very harnmonically complex and super dynamic and responsive. i own another pair as well, and got these for my studio kit, but the tax man took a bite and i can't afford to keep them. i've owned a LOT of cymbals over the years, and i think bosphorus makes the finest sounding cymbals ever. they're all i play now.
please let me know if you have any more questions and i'll try to answer them as best i can.
thanks - jv

those are great hats.
if i didn't just score a used pair of avedis new beats, i'd be all over these.

good luck!

thanks adam... i'm sure someone will grab them at this price. not everyone knows about bosphorus cymbals, but those that do know their craftsmanship and quality is something you just can't get from bigger companies. i wish i could afford to keep both sets i own, but one's gotta unfortunately go.
peace - jv

for those who don't know...

here's a couple clips of some Bosphorus Turk Hats in the context of a kit..
i recorded the drummer for the Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra a few months back..
this was recorded in his dining room. :D
His turks are several years old. The kit is a 1971 Camco Aristocrat.

not really mixed, this is basically just overheads, kick, and snare mic.

excuse the 60hz hum, t'was an old house with all 2 prong outlets.

I'm posting these so people know whats up and maybe someone else will buy them, because i really shouldn't spend any more money this month (yes, i know its only the 6th.). I have no will power.

someone buy these hats !
