CWPA9 line in will not record, help

My Cakewalk 9 line in will not record,Mic in will but it sux. I have a Vortex PCI 8820 soundcard. How can I get my line in to work?
I have the latest drivers.

You might try this . . . The Line-in, unlike the mic, is stereo. When you arm the track to record, I'm assuming you can pick , Left - wave out or Right - wave out ? Try switching from one to another to see if the other works. I had this problem once, before I corrected my cable problems. Hope it works.

Thx for the help, I found out what it was. I had to setup my line record in sound recorder. It works great now ! I've had cakewalk for about a month,just now getting the hang of it.
 
Make sure your soundcard's line in is an available device for your Source.


Make sure your port is set to wave out. Make sure you arm the track
