To anyone out there who can help...
Using CWA PA9 / Soundblaster Live / P 200MMX / Windows '98.
When recording audio direct into PC I experience distortion / crackling on playback . However , if I record the same audio into an audio editor i.e. WaveLab it plays back ok. I have checked all levels , metering ,windows mixer setting etc , have set up audio options as directed .
The confusing part is this . I can 'insert' the above audio into CakeWalk and it will play perfectly. I know it offers a way around the problem but when transferring audio from my VS840 it poses further problems with sync etc , plus its extremely tedious.
Also when previously using CWA PA8 with Windows '95 I did not have this problem . So do I downgrade ? seems to defeat the object somehow! As far as I am aware I have all the latest drivers from Microsoft / Creative etc .Any help would be appreciated . Thanks in anticipation .
