Cubebase 4le VS 5le?

Is there a difference? if so, anything significant?

got my Tuscam US-800 today, and it came with cubebase 5le, instead of 4le which is was advertised as comming with..
I know their both limited editions, but just curious if there`s anything significantly different btween them..

LE4 has many issues that caused crashes. An update as well as a hotfix is available for it, but it was still a pain in the ass for me. LE5 is based on the full version of Cubase 5, and is much more stable and has a few more features. If I hadn't purchased an interface that came with LE5, I probably would have gone with another DAW, as LE4 just would not work well on my system. I still have LE5 on my internet PC to help out on direct questions for those using it. LE5 is still a quite limited version of C5, but is much better than LE4 by a miles IMO.

Have you got the interface fired up yet?

I have`nt got around to hooking it up yet, as I`ve been busy as heck since getting it and posting this thread..but hopfully I`ll be able to give it a go sometime tomaro..
 
Well, i just could`nt resist hooking it up right quick, and what happen was.....

IT WORKED!!..LOL

I just did a basic strum on my acustic for a minute, and upon play back, heard absolutly no pop, crackle etc..nothing, clean as can be..(recorded my acustic with a MXL990, yeah go ahead and bash me..LOL)

Anyway, I have`nt installed cubebase yet, so I just recorded with AUDACITY..
only thing was, is i was only recording on one channel, which is just a configuration issue of some sort or another..
but anyway, so far so good..I`m happy!

I`ve actually already unplugged the unt and put it off to the side until i can make a better space on my desk & put away my guitar and mc, if that says anything about how quick it installed and started working, and i don`t move real fast these days.....LOL

all that said..I have yet to read the manual..LOL

Yep, same here. I check in almost every other hour due to my class schedule :D
