Cubasis VST v5.0

Does anyone use Cubasis VST and if so is it easy to use and friendly for recording guitar?

As with most descent software including Cubase, it takes a fair amount of time to learn it. May take a year or two to know it well. The same is true with finding what works best in a recording enviroment and your software/hardware setup.
Recording a guitar with Cubase will not be difficult, but the converters you use will dictate the quality.

Is this the Cubasis that comes free with a USB recording unit?

I didn't get it free with a USB interface but the one I'm thinking of getting is Cubasis VST 5.0

I have Cubase VST/5.0 and it was farily easy to start recording. I was doing it the first night.

Of course it didn't sound that good, but that just takes general mixing experience.
