Cubasis VST stops recording

I bought a MIA 24/96 audio card which came with Cubasis VST (not sure which version since it didn't come with a help menu). I'm trying to pull some tunes onto my system by plugging a Tascam 4 track into the audio inputs of the MIA and recording in Cubasis, but for some reason, VST will just stop recording. The progress indicator continues moving until I hit the stop button in Cubasis, but when I go to play it back in Cubasis, somewhere in the middle of the song (again, the exact position varies), the audio will just be gone.

Has anyone run into this before? Any suggestions?

Thanks.

on the transport make sure the right indicator( i think thats what its called) is not lit when you record. If it's lit , the recording automatically stops u when u reach that point.

Thanks. I don't think that that's the problem, though. I made sure to set the right indicator past the end of the song, so even if it was cutting out due to that, it would still capture the whole song. Also, to illustrate the problem a bit further, here's an example of what happens. Say I recorded the song twice. In both cases, let's also say that I have the right indicator set at the 200th measure, and the song ends at the 100th measure (this is actually a representation of what I've been doing). The first time I record the song, the recording cuts out at the 12th measure. The second time I record the song, it cuts out at the 73rd measure. I should also point out that in both cases, according to the interface, the length of the audio track is 200 measures - but you can see, at the measure where the recording has cut out, that the audio track changes from a red bar with a thinner black bar inside of it, to a solid red bar for the remainder of the track.

I'm thinking that it could just be a hardware issue (the MIA "blips," and VST doesn't recover), but I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.
