Thanks the reason i asked was because the only options i am getting are up 48000 i assume once i get a soundcard that supports 6 the option will present itself?
Yes, Cubase VST/24 is 24/96. Keep in mind that you will need a rockin' computer system to do anything at 96KHz, and of course your soundcard would have to support it.
I wouldn't get too concerned about 96KHz at the moment, 44KHz or 48KHz is good enough. 24Bit however is very advantageous.
