I apologize in advance is this is a very cliche thread, but recently MusikMesse 2001 took place in March and the new Logic Audio 5 has gotten very high accolades.

Currently, I'm trying to figure out which multi-tracking package I want to buy. It's an important decision because I'm in it for the long haul. I want to make sure that the recording package I want to invest in will be stable and well-supported. It's basically come down to either Cubase VST5/24 or Logic Audio 5, which comes out in September hopefully. I'm running a P3 running WinME, and I'm doing everything myself.

I know it's usually a matter or what suits your needs, but I'm trying to obtain some kind of general consensus on which is superior in terms of support, drivers, and stability on the Windows platform. This will really help me make my decision, not determine it. Any other information you're willing to share will be appreciated as well.

Hope my questions were clear. Thanks!

Don't really think there is a question here ;-) If you can stand the learning curve Logic is the way to go. And they are pretty decent about tech support and keeping up with things.

yep,

A lot of people have complained about the audio engine of cubase.

Logic is very powerful and it sounds good.

Bad thing you are not on a mac. Digital performer 3 is the real competitor with Logic audio platinum.

I heard Logic's next update is gonns be a major jump in $$$$$!!!!

man no kidding,

that logic with logic control looks way cool.

Like PARIS for half the price. no just kidding. It still is not paris, but it certainly looks very impressive.

Does anyone know how to change audio pan volumes from (+64 to -64) to (100 to -100)?

thanks

Does anyone have any word about how expensive Logic 5 is going to be?
