Hello,
I'm currently using a cracked (am I suppose to say that?) version of Cubase VST 5.whatever. The best results I 'gotten' were when I actually recorded in Acid 3.0 and then imported the tracks to cubase. Everything sounds clear and in your face. Cubase just basically does not seems to be as user friendly and is much more prone to disaster by stupid mistakes than what I hoped. Moreover, editing waves seems next to impossible and annoying with that stupid little wave editor popup that happens when you double click a track. Its plain dumb in my opinion.
So - does anybody have any suggestions as to other recording programs. At school I used Digital performer and remember liking it, though I was only using midi, something I have absolutely no use for here.
How is emagic? Other programs?

Oh, its mainly for rock type stuff. I have the audiophile2496. Use Mackie VLZ as submixer. Nice computer (to be brief).
