I use cool edit alot but i recently got cubase. should i make the switch? or is cubase just a more complicated version of cool edit. what are it's advantages?
Cool Edit is an audio only program...It has no midi capabilities... I'm not putting down cool edit in any way as I love it for audio recording... If you are planning on getting into midi, then you may want to consider the switch to a sequencer and audio software... Good luck
cool edit is good for editing and basic tracking, especially if you're using a consumer grade sound card. cubase is much more powerful for tracking and good for using midi devices. alot of cool things can be done with midi these days.
