cubase vs cool edit pro 2

Hey im starting to record

Im going to sam ash during the pre holiday sale and im buying

YAMAHA 12/4 MIXER
M-Audio 1010 LT PCI SOUND CARD

and couple of mics

anyways im in a band i was wondering which programe would be better Cool edit pro 2 or cubase? I have cool edit pro 2 already... But i have heard good things about cubase..

Personally, Cubase SX or any form of it is much better than Cool Edit (ADobe Audition) in my opinion. It is laid out very well and is a much more serious program in terms of usability and capabilities. However, CE may suit your needs just fine and come in at a lower cost. In the end, I don't see you regretting purchasing Cubase SX, but you may outgrow Cool Edit pretty easily.
 
and the cool edit do not support the asio driver, so go wit cubase if you have any chance. i have delta 44 and i heard constant noises clicks pops and other artifacts in recordings, bu there was nothing but overused sistem. i tryed the cubase demo, and everythig was solved in a minute. next day i bought some older version of cubase (i think it was sx) and later upgraded it to sx2. i was really impressed how much better mixes i did in no time.

go for cubase!
