Well here is a great shortcut that has escaped me for sometime. I usually just learn the shortcuts I think I need and and don't go digging to deep after that, so this was a pleasent surprise when discovering it the other day. You all probably know it already and I'm the last to figure it out, in which case disregard.
Shift+G
If you are working in the project window and select any part (audio or MIDI), and press Shift+G, cubase will automatically set the locators at the beginning and end of that part, automatically set the part to loop in the transport and automatically start playing. What a friggin' huge time saver when you are trying to auditon different parts with different virtual instruments, or quickly edit an audio part, and loop it to check the results. Enjoy
