Hi guys,
I'm a fairly new user of Cubase SX. I've done a video tutorial and read through a lot of the help section in the program. There's one feature that I have decided I must be too stupid to figure out - in the audio editor, I'm supposed to be able to get "lanes". This is described in the "Getting the Perfect Take" section of help for when you record in cycle mode, then have the ability to assemble your takes together by viewing them above another (in lanes). Currently, I can only see my one audio track in the editor.
Also, I've seen another guy work in Cubase, and he had the ability to select several different parts and open them at the same time in the audio editor (again - the parts are shown in lanes). He might have been using a different version of Cubase, but I'm not sure.
OK, here's where we try to figure out what in the world I'm missing here. In the help section, it says the lanes should be visible (this is from memory, so it's not word for word...) if I zoom out while in the audio editor. Well, when I zoom out, lanes do not appear - the wave simply changes size/appearance. I read something that said I needed to go to "view" and then click "separate events" (or something like that), but there is no "view" menu that I know of.
Please tell me I've just missed something simple and it's an easy fix!! Thanks for the help guys.
