im looking to get into recording a little bit, but i dont know which program i should use. i just spent almost all of my money on a macbook so i dont have the cash for a more expensive program, but im not doing anything professionally so it doesnt really matter. my question is: is cubase se better for recording than garageband? i saw in on musicians friend as the stupid low price of the day, so i can actually afford it now, but since (to the best of my understanding) that its a very very basic version of cubase. is it so basic that its really not much more than garageband? or are there big enough differences where cubase se will surpass garageband by a longshot?
