Cubase SE and VST Instruments

Hello all,

Do I have to use a MIDI to take advantage of the VST Intruments that come packaged with the Cubase SE? I would like to experiment with the VST drum machine and bass synth.

I wouldnt have a clue where to begin using a MIDI.

I think you're asking if you need to use a MIDI controller to use VST instruments.

You don't have to but it sure makes life easier. If you are considering it look at the Maudio USB midi controllers. It's a good cheap solution.

No, you don't have to use someone else's midi file, but it might be helpful to load a drumgroove to test out the capabilities of the drum machine, since you're not familiar with programming yet.

Thank you both for responding. I was refering to a midi controler. I have instaled the VST intruments but now I am having new troubles. See the post from earlier today. Thank you again.
