I have a Delta 66 soundcard, Cubase, and a Mackie 1402-VLZ mixer.

I'm trying to record drums with 3-4 mics, and put each mic on a separate channel in Cubase.

How do I do this?

I'm not sure how to do it with a. the mixer b. cubase and c. the soundcard

sorta depressing.

Please help oh mighty ones!!! anything would be a help!

How many inputs do you have on the Delta s/c?

(That would represent the maximum number of different channels you could record at one time...)

I assume you have your mixer plugged into your soundcard. 1) Plug your four mic's into your mixer.
2) I would go with a mic on the snare and one on the bass and two overheads.
3) get their levels set.
4) If your using VST32 or less, make sure you click "on" your multi-record option.
5) If you have SX then rejoice because the programmers got it right and all you have to do is arm the tracks.
6) record

Have fun!

Drum Mics

With the mackie board you might want to select on ch1 (1-2) and pan left, ch 2 (1-2) pan right, ch 3 (3-4) pan left and ch 4 (3-4) pan right. That way you can bring it out your subs.
