Cubase problems

I use Cubase LE-6 with a Scarlett Studio and a Novation Launchkey-61. My Cubase keeps crashing when I close out. I'll be adding tracks with everything sounding good, then all of a sudden the sound will suddenly degrade and I'll hear buzzing or a a loud hum. I have to restart and go back in. Does anybody else have these problems

Also, sometimes when I go back into Cubase, the settings are all jacked up and my Launchkey isn't showing in the Device Manager. When I record audio tracks, I can't hear the effects on my voice until I play it back.

Just looking for a little advice from those with far more experience than myself. I haven't even gotten into editing and trying to finish a song.
 
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

I would first ask that you state the system specs of your computer. Start there. :)
 
Here is what I'm using.

Toshiba laptop, Intel Pentium 2.5 Ghz processor, 6 GB memory 64-bit
Focusrite Scarlett Studio (2i2) Interface
Cubase LE-6 (Came with the Scarlett Studio; still deciding on whether to upgrade)
Novation Launchkey-61 midi keyboard
Rockit 6" monitors
 
Pentium ? Is that an old computer?

What version of windows are you running?

Have you optimized your windows for audio?

If the scarlet is USB are you sure its the only thing running on that hub? Make sure there isn't something else interrupting the usb port.
