Hi
I am having problems with Cubase overloading when performing what would seem to be very basic tasks.
My setup is as follows:
MSI Laptop iCore 5 2.3 Ghz
4GB Ram
Windows 7 64 bit
Cubase AI
Emu 0404 USB.
ASIO4ALL Software
When I insert a plugin e.g. Cubase Room Works on even one audio track, the VST performance bar starts rising considerable and if I dare insert another plugin the infamous “CPU Overload” Cubase message appears.
If I import a midi file with mupltiple tracks and insert a midi instrument from HALionOne on one of the tracks, the VST performance bar almost reaches its maximum and Cubase promptly displays “CPU Overload”.
I have tried changing the ASIO buffer size within ASIO4ALL, but this hardly makes any difference.
Cubase has no problem playing many tracks at once (audio or midi) the problem only seems to be with plugins and midi instruments.
Does anyone have any suggestion as to what the problem could be?
Thanks
