hi guys,
I can't get insert or send effects to work (nuendo v.3.2) - I've tried everything I can find in the manual help. Here is what I'm trying to do (detailed and simple versions of what I need):
DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
I have some backing tracks and I want to create an audio track and use it sing live (not recording) with effects like reverb running real time on my voice, - ideally as send effects.
In VST connections I have 1 mono input from my mic and 1 main stereo output.
In mixer window I have:
Input - 1 mic from my AI
Main -
a) backing tracks (play fine and i can insert effects on these recorded
tracks realtime without any problems)
b) audio channel - input mic, output main stereo
c) FX channel - output main stereo
Output - 1 main stereo out
I put a send on the audio track to the fx channel, selected the effect on the fx channel, put up the levels, and turned the audio track for the vocal to monitor 'on' and record 'on'.
When I sing I can see levels appear for input, audio track, but not fx channel or stereo out, and I hear no realtime effects on my voice.
I've tried using insert effects too - no luck.
Can anyone please help?
I need to get this working by a gig on thursday evening - arghhh!
SIMPLE DESCRIPTION:
if the above's too complicated - if anyone could simply describe how to start a new project, add an audio track and get realtime insert effects running into the main mix that i could hear through the monitor when i click 'play' (nuendo 3.2) that would be a livesaver...
i have 1 main mix stereo output (but also a control room studio sending a click track to headphones).
i can set up the mic input with level appearing, record ok, and my stereo out is working fine, but i can't get realtime effects on vocals on my stereo out...
any help would be much appreciated, thanks
