I'm using a behringer eurorack ub1002 mixer and cubase LE, but when i hook everything up to my computer, cubase won't pick up the mics. i've went into the control panel on my computer and the sound is coming through, but won't on cubase. any help would be great.

thanks,
zach.

What soundcard / audio interface are you using?

I'm guessing...(it looks like that mixer has no USB connection) but what you really mean is that cubase is not picking up the sound from your soundcard.

I'm assuming you have your mixer running into the 'line-in' of your soundcard?

Hit F5 in Cubase. Your Soundcard should be listed as 'In 1', 'In 2' or whatever. Make sure that they are active (click the 'on' button).

Make sure that the track (should be audio track, not MIDI track) you want to record to has the proper 'In' selected.

Then.. if the sound is getting to your soundcard, it should be getting into Cubase LE.

What type of soundcard or audio interface do you have.

If not, you will need a audio interface that will translate the audio into digital. Because you won't be able to achieve great results with the factory sound card unless your CPU is built for gaming/music production.

I believe you can go into Devices/Device Setup or something to that effect. (Not at my CPU @ the moment) and one of those selections will show you all the connected devices. Then you'll be able to see if cubase recognizes the sound card that you currently have.

if you are on a laptop.. there are external sound cards/audio interfaces that will do the job as "super soundcard" for you.
