Recording Idiot
Ok... so.... I just got this today and I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to get the output to go threw my soundcard. I've had no problems recording a track with Omega, but I don't want to use it as my output source. I have passive monitors that are only used by a soundcard, so there inlies my problem. Please help before I go crazy!!

Try Devices-->VST outputs. Select your built-in soundcard as the output device (you may have to change to a generic multimedia driver to make this work, as the Omega driver won't work for your built-in soundcard). It would be easier to just connect your monitors (& amp) to the omega, as that will minimize any latency issues and let you use the better drivers.

No luck, here's what I can do:

I can go to Devices-->Device Setup-->VST Multitrack

Then I can switch it from Omega to my SB Audigy ASIO and can hear what I've recorded, but not record anymore.

I really don't have the money to buy a new pair of powered moniors right now, I currently use Edirol MA-10D's. Is there no way I can just track with the Omega and listen with the Audigy? I couldn't find an option in the VST Outputs for anything but Out 1, Out 2... am I just SOL?

I still don't understand why you can't just connect the edirols to the omega??? With the proper cables, you could connect them to either the line outs on the back of the omega or the headphone out. They are powered monitors, from what I can find on the net. You shouldn't need anything but the proper cables.

The only problem with that is that the outputs from the Omega are 1/4 outs, the Edirol doesn't have 1/4 in's. Thanks for all your help by the way, I hope I'm not a hassle.

That's what adapters and adapter cables are for. Pick up a couple of these (they carry them at Radio Shack) and you can use a standard stereo RCA cable.

Check these places for all your cable and connector needs:

Awesome! I'm off to Radioshack... hadn't even considered that.
