Cubase LE - EZdrummer

I just purchased a copy of EZdrummer and I’m trying to use it with Cubase LE. Cubase recognizes the EZdrummer plug-in and I am able to audition grooves but it will not allow me to drag and drop into my project. As soon as I start to drag the file into my midi track my pointer changes to a circle with a slash.

I normally us Sony Vegas 8.0 for audio recording, but Vegas does not support midi. The version of Cubase I am using came free with a Presonus Firepod that I purchased. I am trying to avoid spending anymore money on new recording software.

Any ideas to make this work would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks FunkDaddy, I am afraid you are right. I have since downloaded the newest version of Reaper and had it installed and running EZdrummer in about 5 minutes. I say hello Reaper and goodbye Cubase. I will be purchasing the license immediately.
