something i like in cooledit pro, is when you use direct x fx plugins, it loads up with a window that has a preview button, and a slide down menu with presets. when loading the same fxs in cubase (for example, waves fx) this menu doesn't exist. i'm wondering if anyone knows how to access the presets in cubase that come with fx??)

some of them sound really good and come in handy for a beginner like myself.

The presets menu is located in different places for different plug-ins. What plug are you using?

There is no preview in Cubase because everything is done in real time on the inserts and sends. For me that is MUCH better than having to preview and process every plug-in every time:)

i'm using the waves c4 compressor in cubase sx2...any idea where i can locate the presets?

thanks

That does not sound right Im running SL3 and the Waves Diamond Bundle and when I insert anything it has all the presets in the drop down menu on the plug's UI I hope you dont have a cracked copy of waves.....

no, it shows me the presets in cooledit perfectly like i said. i just don't know how to find them in sx...i'd be surprised if sx and sl would be different in those terms though? its frustrating because i really like some of the presets, or at least being able to work from them.

I think the big difference here is the GUI differnce between DirectX plug-ins, and VST ones.
