Hi,

Is there a way in Cubase LE to listen to a track 1 while recording on track 2 and not pickup track 1 playing in the recording so I can listen to the guitar, bass and record to it while listening without re-recording the guitar and bass.

Previously I got round this by using adobe audition and selecting my audigy for recording and my onboard sound card for playback so the one did not cause problems with the other.

If there is no way to do the first option, then is there a way to select the device to use on Cubase LE so I can do the same process again. However it would be better if I can find a way to do the first way.

Thanks.

Sounds like you need to launch the Creative Mixer applet (or Windows volume control) for the Audigy and set the recording device to "Line In".
I'm inclined to believe that it is set to "What U Hear" and that is why previous tracks are also getting recorded to subsequent tracks.

The first post in this thread pretty much explains it. Plus it saves me from typing it. :D
