cubase and us122

im running cubase with a us122 and a beringher eurorack mixer. the problem im having was mentioned by someone in another post earlier. i set the asio to the us122 and im getting signal in fine. however, im unsure how to run the output as i can't hear what is recorded. i'd like to have the playback set to the built in audio. is this possible, or once the us122 is selected, is it mandatory for the outputs to be run to be run through the us122 as well? can anyone help?

It depends on which version of cubase you're using. It would be best to run the output back through the US-122 and connect your speakers, etc. to that unit. However, in the Devices --> VST outputs, there should be an option to select your built-in soundcard as the output.
