Hello,

I have been working on a sequencing project in Cubase 7. I would like to work on it at my school on the computers there too. However, my school has Cubase 6 (Possibly 6.5, I can't remember). My project only uses these Cubase instruments: Groove Agent ONE, Halion Sonic SE, Retrologue and some audio samples.

What would happen if I tried to open this Cubase 7 project in Cubase 6/6.5?

Thanks
Will

C7 is supposed to be backward compatible with 6. As long as you are not using plugs that are not in C6, you should be fine. :)

Yeah you should be set. As far as I know they even made LE to full version and back compatible after version 6.

I'm not sure C6 files can be opened in LE5, but I could be wrong. I think I remember having a issue with that tho...

It has been a while..

I did however, just open a project, created in C7, and it loaded fine in C6. Doubt any 'LE' version would possibly be able to run a full version project folder.

Nay they only put that in after version 5 so I'm saying for example you could (if I'm right) open an LE6 project in cubase 7 then open it back up in le 6. I could be wrong though.
