Upgraded a few weeks ago from Cubase Essentials 5 to 6.5 Artist. Mostly the reason is to use the IC App on the iphone for remote control. I installed the 64 bit version, but I'm having a lot of problems with audio stutter. I believe this all stems from 32bit VST plugs and poor bridging. Anyone else have this problem??

I'm using UAD plugs and a handful of older free plugs I have had for years. The thing is, I'm pretty sure I was running Cubase 5 64bit and never had a problem with mixing 64bit DAW with 32bit plugs.

What has your experience been?? Any suggestions??

I'm almost to the point of downgrading to 32bit.

Yeah, UAD has not jumped on the 64-bit wagon yet, which is shocking. Get with the times, UA!

Anyhoo, your answer is to use JBridge to wrap the plugins to 64-bit. It's cheap and it works well. Although, it does use a LITTLE more CPU than the plugin would if it were used on its own. But hey, if you got a kick ass computer, it may be negligible.

Hope that helps.

Cheers :)

Cool, appreciate the coments. I already downgraded to 32 bit and not having anymore problems. I've heard some good things about JBridge, but haven't tried it. Maybe when/if I reload 64 bit, I'll get it.

My UAD cards are UAD-1 and I don't think they'll ever get 64 bit. BUT!!, I just ordered the apollo and will be selling the UAD-1's, so will probably try 64 bit once UAD gets the windows drivers straightened out.

Yup, Get with the times, UA!! :D

Thanks again for the reply!!!
