Hi,

I have been trying to set up my home studio and hit a stumbling block I just cannot seem to get past and if anyone could help I would be gratefully appreciative..

The basic problem is that even though the audio gets through to the PC (fom my KORG, through my yamaha mixing desk ) and it comes out through my PC speakers, cubase just does not notice the stereo in.

I am just at a loss. MIDI seems to work perfectly which took me a week so I am used to battling and getting somewhere but this problem just has me flattened.

Sound card is and old SB Audigy 2, seems to take in the sound from the mixing desk and plays it out through the speakers.

Set my VST Audio System to Creative ASIO or SB Audigy 2 ASIO and it seem to make no difference. I am hesitant to go in and start mucking about with setting I really have no clue about.

If any one can help me I will always be in ther favour.

Cheers.

I think the SB Audigy 2 ASIO is the one you want. Then you need to set up the inputs under "VST Connections"

Thanks for the reply TF

I seem to have been up and down the 'device ports' on the VST connections, from 'analog mix 1' to 'mic in R'.

If I really whack the keys I can see the levels just very minimally popping up, I don't know if that is cross over or just a level that is set to zero somewhere outside CB that is stopping the sound going in.

Going to dig about in control panel just now.

Cheers

Yippeee

GOt a torch out and dug about in the bag of the PC.

DOnt know what I did.

LOt of noise from the sound card, suppose that is just an old card on an old PC

Could it be that you're clipping? Try turning down the gain on the Audigy (I'm assuming it's the one with the box installed in a CD/DVD bay).

Maybe post a sample so we can try and trouble shoot it for you.
