I am about to install cubase/24 producer pack and I only have one small hard drive (6.4 gig). I use a Pentium II with 64mb memory. Until I buy a second hard drive, do I have to devide or what ever the term is, the hard drive into two?

In other words, what is the best way to use a single hard drive without havng any problems between audio and other programs? Please help.

Dont worry about it bro. I dont think you will have too many problems besides the fact that you dont have much ram or hd space.
I believe the whole point of having a 2nd HD for recording only is to keep the wear and tear down on the recording drive so you will have less problems, etc. DEFRAG DEFRAG DEFRAG! And just rock out until you can get 128k and really big and more importantly FAST hard drive for the D slot.
Good luck and btw, I am a PRODUCER PAK guy myself.. Kick in the butt of a price but freefilter+wavelab makes it worth it..

Hi Nagaba,

No, you don't have to partition your drive. Test the system out, record some tracks, see what happens, if your system is not living up to your expectations, then we can look into optimizing it.. there are many ways.
