Not sure where to start however my challenge is to be able to monitor a pre-recorded track (from Cakewalk) while playing an instrument to lay down to another track. Whenever I play anything back from cakewalk, I am unable to monitor it with board unless I'm using the EXT "patch". This doesn't help me if I want to add any instruments that are patched into the mixer.
How would I set this up. I know there are many variables to consider but I don't know which ones to begin looking at. So if there are any patient experts out there that could ask me the right questions, I'm all ears.
