Ok, I am not sure if this is a mistake track or what...

I'm listening to the first one...well I was.

The levels are way too hot....WHAT THE HELL was that noise at...it...

Is this a joke?

....

i dont want the quality judged. i want the song judged. this was recorded sitting in front of a computer with a cheap computer mic, so i know the quality isnt there. if you're referring to the "uh-oh" that was his icq message coming in.

and yes it's a little loud at times, just turn it down a bit. we're doign a full band recording this weekend, this is just to show people some of the songs, not the quality of a cheap, computer mic recording.

Well kid, it's not like you said much in the first post...just thanks. I get it, I'm supposed to be tapping into your psyche....wait, I'm getting a message now....

Give up man, people are going to comment on your mix in the mp3 "mixing clinic".
Ya dig?

uhhh, well the board topic is this...

"Do you have something worth listening to? Convert it to MP3, post it to your Web site, and tell us where we can listen to it!"

It's worth listening to. Not top-notch quality, but deffinately listenable.

This is the "mixing clinic".You might have better luck posting this in the Songwriters Forum located here.

Just a suggestion.

Um...no, no it's not at all.

ok..

well maybe i posted in the wrong forum. at least someone here is mature enough to let me know that in a nice way instead of "hey, im a dick, i'm perfect" type way.

im sure u onyl listened to part of it, probably only 1 track and had ur mind made up that it sucks. well whatever...do yourself a favor and quit acting like you are the shit, who do u think u r, malcolm springer?

No, I am actually Milli from Milli and Vanilli.

Seriously, I was talking about the mix....the song is really unlistenable.

Sorry if you think I'm an ass, most people do.

you probably dont even know who malcom springer is...
listens fine on my comp and on many others who have said they liked it. there's always that 1....

In all honestly if you do not want the whole finished product critiqued you should have said that up front. We aren't psychic!

I think is awful even for death metal standards, and it has everything to with the singer, the band actually sounds pretty tight.

The guy has nothing, he doesn't sound angry, he sounds like he's trying to be angry and it comes out constipated.

the band?

huh? its one guy with one guitar.

death metal standars? umm... ok?

lol, I was wondering where the msn message delivery sound came from.

I listened to the first one, the accoustic one. The recording does suck but you can make out the song. It's balanced and the room doesn't sound too bad, but the distortion on the track is extreme.

I liked the song well enough and thought it was a decent performance. As a matter of taste I wasn't fussy about the temp change, but that's just me.

LOL

Sorry man, I got it mixed up with another thread. That's why I really wish people would put the title of the song in the title of thread...makes it really easy to comment after downloading 4 or 5 songs. Death Metal..lol..sorry man.

Song has potential, I think you could have took the time to do another take after the ICQ thing though.

In a nutshell, clipping like crazy, pitch problems on the vocals. Can't listen to more than 20 secs cause of horrible sound.

I just listened to the first track, the acoustic one, and the song is not that bad... the dynamics are not too tasty, the sound is AWFUL, but the song is not that bad. Recording and mixing -wise, it's terrible. What I liked most is that it's quite short; however I don't see any radio potential, but maybe it'll do ok around bonfires especially if alcohol is involved.

Hey! Ive got lots of stuff with more noise than this! what is everyone talking about? LOL
When I was recording to cassette tape years ago I peaked so hard that the tape just cuts out in some places. Ive still got them if anyone wants proof of that. I used a 2$ mic and a regular cassette recorder from my home stereo.

Basically you wanted some feedback on the songs right?

I guess you know that the recording leaves a lot to be desired so its gonna take some real work and dedication. but both songs were pretty good.
I see a lot of potential there from the portions that are listenable and Im an old fart:D :D I liked the guitar playing on the 2nd song until it went ballistic.

There may be frequencies that are screaming , but Im the resident deaf guy and I dont hear them throughout but only where the obvious clipping/pegging kicks in. Tone down the input a bunch.

Definitely come back with them when you get a clean cut done and show off.

peace
Bill
