This is my first mix.

All instruments are very bad played... I know........ we replay them in future!!!

Guitar is miked with one microphone on a dual cone (10") marshall with a beta 58

Bass pass in a direct box

The Drum is a yamaha (electric) and is recorded only on two track.

Voice on the same beta 58

The keyboards recorded direct....

Any suggestion is appreciated Thank You.

p.s. I promise I will learn English this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good points :
- Vocals are very good
- Seems tight, although a some points not perfectly tight
- This is a cool song
- Like the progressif side of the song

Bad points :
- You lack of kick on the song. Note this can be obtain by putting more drums, double tracking guitar and changing volumes at certain points.
- The sound of guitar doesn't sound that good. Add more presence on it.

Well that's just my two cents.

The vocalist is very GREAT, i love his voice!

The guitar is quadoubled (on 4 track panned 85L + 85R + 40R + 40L)

The Electric Drum is the Big problem because is on 2 Track only and i think that the sound is terrible compressed at the source. I'm working of Eq and Phase correction (the cymbals and Crash were in negative phase at the source!!!! ).

im no master but...everything sounds just about in the middle..no space for individual tracks to breath.
Try playing around with panning and double tracking rythem guitars..if ya havent already

Just A Comment

Have you ever heard of a group called tubring? check it out. They have a comprable style and I think they are rather well produced for an indie band.It may give you an idea as to a well mixed sound in the genre.
