Ok guys here is my first attempt to record a cd with my new equipment. These are three songs from an acoustic rock duo. The musicians are average so I'm not looking for comments on the level of musicianship but the quality of the recording ie: the mix, use of effects, sound, volume, etc. Any advice you offer is welcome.

My set up is real basic I'm using Cubase SX 1.0 and Sonic Foundry Sound Forge 6.0. I micd them with a large condenser mic and ran it through a M-audio mobile pre then into a hewlitt packard laptop. Yeah I know no the most ideal setup but I am just starting out. Thanks guys.

ok i can only put up two songs i guess the other one is too big lemme know what you think also i meant to say i know it's not the most ideal setup. alright guys later

You really need to put these up at (SoundClick? Is that where everybody's at now?) at a higher bitrate - Very hard to tell what's there at 50kbps... Love to hear them at 160 or so...

The last one did not work, but I agree with what was posted prevously. You need to sign up for some where like sound click or nowhereradio. The low bit rate and 12 seconds do not do you any justice
