New to electric guitars. My playing sucks big time but I just need some feedback on the rhythm tone. It's not intended to sound like the real band, just trying to experiment with nice distortion/overdrive tones at bedroom levels and I happen to like this one.

It's the one called Seether and it's like a 9 second clip. Please disregard my playing especially my attempt to fool around with the lead guitars.

Thanks in advance.

Actually sounds pretty good to me. What are you using?

PRS Cu 24 into a Tonecore Ubermetal pedal into a Cornford 6 watt amp.

Mic'd with a SM57 and one SP C4 into FMR RNP & RNC.

I wish there were more comments on the distortion.

I'll keep practicing!

Without hearing it in a song, it's hard to tell, but I like the tone. I believe it will fit something nicely. Sounds good hear, on it's own.

Two, no three, no four different guitar tones... My favorite was the second one that played. But the first two really blend together nicely. The last lead was a bit screamy at the end and I would maybe take the highs down towards the end part. In general these are good tones - nice equipment list - I'm jealous.....lol. Any chance of hearing this in a 'BAND' situation. Dogman is right until it hits the mix it's really tough to call..... ;) :D

Dude. You're just starting out, and you're learning on a PRS? Dude.....(and I mean this in the nicest possible way, without any derrogatory meaning).....

Fuck you.

:D :D :D :D

Awesome gear, man. I'll take a listen at the sounds tommorow, but I am wiped out right now.

The philosophy is to dazzle the ego with pro gear to compensate for the absence of talent. :D

Feast for your eyes.

Thanks ido1957.

I was especially working on the first 2 rhythm tones. The lead (if I can even call it that) was just for fun but I managed to do harmonics at the end. Woo hoo! :D

I can understand how it would be easier to critique if it was in the mix. I'll try it next time.
