check out the latest cover i put up on acid planet,,, just a fun little home recording, ,, but , the main reason i'm posting about it is to get an opinion. do the vocals sound too loud or too soft for the mix to you all? ,,, i can never seem to get them just right, always too loud or too quiet. http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?songs=334732&t=9609

Drums sound far away and the vocal flat. But don't worry I can't sing even that good.

lol, yeah, i know the vocals were off,. i can never sing in the right key with headphones on, i mean, i have enough trouble with it when i dont have headphones they just add to the problem,.. so the drums sound far off, how about the guitar and bass, do they seem to mix well? be at good volume?

man, i've just had my dreams shattered. :(
really though, is it that terrible, i mean, i know i wasnt totally in key all the time but this guy just shot me down big time for this cover, of course i dont blame anyone for thinking the drums suck, thats just all i had to work with at the time.. ohh well,

Remix it to bring the guitars up a bit and the vocal back in the mix, and it might sound good. Yeah, there were some flat notes in the vocal, but I can't sing for shit either. Don't get bummed out. Remember, you are putting this up here for critiques. Some people are pretty blunt and will call a duck a duck...
Keep at it, you can only get better...
