Mixing and Mastering.
I know Ive posted a few threads recently about plug-ins but Im looking for a new arsenal of plug-ins and was wanting for people to list the Creme de al creme of plug-ins so I can check them out.

Cheers,
Eck

The fish fillets suite - Block, Floor & Spit -nice as well as free. Antress' freebies are cool too. Voxengo tube amp freebies are cute & comprehensive.
MDA a pretty shitty, I've had heaps of probs with BJ & Blueline.
As you can tell a) I don't use a lot & haven't bought any (nor hacked any for that matter).

Lately, I've been using the Classic series (compressor, master limiter, flanger, etc.....). They're free but that's not why I use them. I OWN the Waves Diamond Bundle. But I'm finding the Classic Series a lot smoother for certain things.

Thanks all.
I am really looking for names of the best plug-ins on the market.
I know there is no definite answer to this, but I know that there will be a select few names that will be regarded as the creme de la creme.

Cheers,
Eck

I'm very selective about the plugins I use, but someone else might not find them as creme de la creme as I do. For what it's worth, the short list of plugs I use is:

PSP Audioware: MasterQ, Vintage Warmer 2 (all their plugs are excellent though)
Roger Nichols Digital: Equim, Finis, Firium, Neodynium, Inspector XL
Steve Massey: CT4, L2007, VT3, Tape Head (these are ProTools only)
Sonalksis: SV-315 compressor

I also use a few plugs that come with Digital Performer and Pro Tools. In DP I like the Masterworks EQ, and in ProTools I get some use out of the dynamics bundle and some of the Bomb Factory stuff. Although I don't consider Bomb Factory to be creme de la creme at this point.

I use only native plugs, so I can't speak to UAD, Duende, Liquid Mix or any of those hardware solutions.

Comp: UAD 1176LN

Reverb: UAD Plate 140

EQ: Voxengo Gliss EQ

Limiter: Voxengo Elephant or UAD Precision Limiter

Other: Voxengo Soniformer (Dynamic EQ / Multi Band Comp)

Comp = UAD 1176 and LA2A

EQ = URS graphic eq's, UAD Pultec Pro, UAD Neve eq's, Tritone Digital hydratone

Verb/Delay = UAD plate 140, Classik Studio Reverb, Kjaerhus Classic Delay

Mod FX = UAD Dimension D chorus, Waves Doubler

Limiter = Voxengo Elephant

I don't own a few of these yet, but I've tried them all either at school, my house, or friends machines.

yes, the voxengo elephant (limiter) is a very good limiter. Absolutely fantastic IMO.

Yes, WA track plugg is great. good eq, great compressors with peak and rms detection modes. Great "ergonomic" interface w/ gain reduction meters that are fast enough to mean something.
The SC detection listen mode combined with the in band compare mode is a stellar de-esser. Get it!!

....However, there is one that stands out by far...it's the Anwinda reverb.....

I use to use that all the time.
I just reloaded it, it has some great sounding verb for a free plugin.
