Taking credit cards is DEFINATELY a good thing.

The paypal thing though is sucking. I'm getting too many complaints because nobody wants to sign up for paypal just to buy a CD. I don't blame them.

Emeric has offered to do credit card charging via his store (he owns a computer shop up in canada)....but there's no good way to handle the ordering process. Basically emailing the credit card number might be required....hmm....

Unless...hey I just had an idea, I'll get back to you on the emeric thing.

Other than that, there's propay which is $35 per year and they take a 3.9% cut which is kinda high. No online ordering though...well, you place an online order and then have to wait for an email from me to do the actual order. Kind of a drag.

There's CDSTREET and CDBABY but hell, they take like 15%...no way.

I'm going to accept stormpay which is the same as paypal, just in case anybody uses it. I'm not dumping paypal either....paypal users can still use it...as can people who don't mind signing up.

Man, everybody should sign up anyway. PayPal rules!

Look into my eyes and repeat after me: I neeed PayPal. I waaaant PayPal!

I agree about paypal. You only have to sign up once, and once you do, it can be very handy for buying all kinds of shit very easily.

Besides, if you do something like a 3rd party accepting the card #'s, they are going to have to pay anywhere between 1.75% to 3% for each transaction.

It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up for paypal, and you don't even have to have a creditcard, just a bank acct.

Actually the purchaser never pays for credit card transactions....those fees come from the payment. Paypal charges us 2.9% of every transaction, which is actually not a bad rate considering.

Good points!

I meant the person that owns the pos cc machine has to pay. I forgot that the seller has to pay to accept payments w/ paypal.

I'm a buyer, not a seller...

But as long as you figure that into the price, it's all good!
