Full version? LE5? Artist 5? Pirated or purchased?

Please be clear so we can help you.

You should be able to enable 'virtual keyboard'.

It will allow you to play with your PC or Mac keyboard depending on the version you have.

I am using Cubase 5 Full version on a bootcamped MacBook Pro. OS version is Windows 8.1

I can't remember if it is Cubase 5 or 6 when the 'Virtual Keyboard' was added.

Pretty sure 5.

Anyway, in Cubase hit the 'Devices' tab at the top. Select 'Virtual Keyboard'. Not sure if the Alt+K shortcut works on C5.

The keyboard will be shown on your Transport Panel. F2 brings that up.

It is limited, but it works.

:)
