Creating a MIDI application (C++)

Hi guys,

Anyone here experienced in designing MIDI application before? I am interested in making a editor to control my YAMAHA DG-STOMP effect box.

Any one knows how those editors work? (for the V-amp, POD etc)

any resources and links would be appreciated as well...

I am a software engineer but not really in depth in my MIDI knowledge.

Uh, I don't DG stomp and Magicstomp are compatible.... (at least its not being mentioned on both manuals)

The Magicstomp is nice stuff.... I would have gotten that instead of DG....
