Seeing that "Creamy and Milky" have become a regular staple of this forum's culture, I found it befitting that we pay homage to such a remarkable concept. I also have an opportunity to play with a new toy; PSA-1. :p

Creamy and Milky

This is the direct result of not having any sleep for a week. So I thought I would let everyone share in my misery...enjoy! :D

Wow man...that was really some companded creamy, milky-ness!!! :D

AWESOME DUDE!!! I love it!

You could maybe make it longer?? And maybe with a bit more modulation on the airy breathy vocals, but other than that, it's a go!! :D

How did you get that by the way? How can I get that same thing? If I companded creamy, milky with the modulation, would that work? I think it would?

Hot guitar, David.

The growling sounds truly passionate about the Milky/Creamy aesthetic... almost too much so to be just an objective commentary... So do we now finally know who Walters really is? But just in case you're not really Walters I'm gonna give both of you a rep click.

Tim

Dude, that was great. Actually a good song. Blows mine away. I did one that is way over milky-compressed industril noise. Yours has a good tune to it. Love the bass sound. Very cool.

Thanks for the kind words. This was just a quick fun tune that I whipped up in about 2 hours from soup to nuts.

true-eurt,
Being a noob, I'm not sure what 'modulation' is, but I'll find out.

Timothy,
No, I'm not Walters...but sometimes I feel as deranged.

Dogman,
I missed your version...I'll do a search and take a gander.

VSpaceBoy,
Your signature pic says "Milky and Creamy" all by itself.

So far, I'm really impressed by the PSA-1 performance. It totally rocks...and the support staff at Tech21 is nothing less than remarkable.

Apparently, this PSA-1 belonged to Ralph Grierson; purchased it via eBay. Nice to know I now own a piece of history.

Ah...
"Modulate" - The process of adding a control voltage to a signal source in order to change its character. For example, modulating a short slap delay with a 0.5 Hz signal will produce chorusing. [The Mixing Engineer's Handbook - Bobby Owsinski]

I'm still not sure what that meant...so I just added some chorus. :)

:D...Dogman...That was friggin' awesome! Thanks for providing the post.

Maybe add a little more cream to the mix. Try mixing for longer to get a smoother consistency. ;)

limiter added

ecktronic,
I stirred again for hours until my arm fell off...then I added a limiter.

Creamy and Milky (update)

BTW - for those of you few that don't know what "Creamy and Milky" is, all I can say is "be afraid...be very afraid". :D

This is just me being goofy

Google now has a Walters language tool and here's how it translates the previous message:

"stirred until hours then fell limiter

Creamy Milky

Creamy Milky yes

those of dont know Creamy Milky is very afraid be afraid"

LOL...it looks like their "Walters" translation algorithm is spot-on accurate. :D

It's a one-way translator only, unlike the other Google language tools. They've been unsuccessful so far in getting results with the "Walters to English" function.

Good stuff David, nice and consistent without too many bubble. Good job. Keep up that stiring and one day you might even stir like the pros.

And so works the power of the Creamy/milky/white compressor.

Dogman... edging on politically incorrect here... What exactly do you mean, "white compressor"? ....supremist compressor? klan compressor?

Tim

No, Tim. Honest, it is really white.....
