Three words:

Un-frickin'-believable!! Can you imagine being able to comprehend things like that at 12 much less execute them? Reminds me of a mini Dennis Chambers.

Wow!...just..WOW!!

I quit!

Now the clip works... Have you guys never seen the clip?

It went through the internet about 4 years ago, He's still in school now, he's 18. But he played with Billy Cobham and tons of others. I played in the Mike dolbear young drummer of the year a few years ago and i was in the top 15 but didn't win, i'd only been playing for 2 years at this point, I swear some of the kids there must have been playing paradiddles while still in their nappies. It was unreal. I came home felling pissed off and thinking it was very unfair as i'd been only playing for 2 years and some of the kids who won had been playing since aged 3. Then i figured the real world isn't fair...Then I decided to start teching drums :D

He's got his own drummerworld page! SOD!

just saw that clip. f#$king amazing. omg! 12 years old in that clip?

FYI, apparently not work-friendly. Link got filtered for me.

Cool stuff. There are always kids like this popping up on different instruments every few years. I think its funny that people are so shocked because of the age. If you think about it, young kids have all the time in the world to focus on something and learn/practice for extreme amounts of time. Other than school, they typically have no other obligations. I guess it might be rare for drums because not many parents are going to provide the means for a kid to play drums at an early age, much less let them practice at all hours of the day.

I've been playing for 20 and he'll still kick my ass :D

My daughter has been playing off and on since two.
I dont want to push her yet so I just let her do her own thing at 5.
Maybe I'll start her on open stroke rolls at two hour sessions... :p
